Melissa Finlay is wife to the love of her happily-ever-after, mama to 7 (ages 4-18), a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon), lover of all plants except lawn and weeds, genealogist, homeschooler, daughter, sister, neighbor and friend. That just about fills up every second of her time. It is tiring and trying and stretching and challenging and blessed and full of love and just a wonderful life!
Homegrown Habitat was created in 2014 to document Melissa’s daily journey to cultivate and improve her home and garden. In 2017, the topics were broadened to include home management, parenting, homeschooling, seeing the good and being the good in the world, and cultivating a good life. All content is written by Melissa and reflects her personal experiences and opinions. All content is meant to encourage and uplift. Enjoy what touches and helps you, and feel free to scroll past the rest. Comments are welcome; however, comments are moderated and spiteful or mean spirited comments will not be posted. Thank you for joining me on the journey!
Melissa maintains two additional blogs about genealogy. She shares her family’s personal genealogy stories at The Finlay Family Genealogy Blog. She writes about genealogy methods, tips and encouragement at Boundless Genealogy. Her professional genealogy page can be found at MelissaFinlay.com.
